Mountain railways in winter
The region of Kloster Davos is a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders from around the world. Nine years ago the cable car operators in this region joined forces to offer an excellent service covering the five large skiing areas of Gotschna-Parsenn, Madrisa, Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn and Pischa. The 56 lifts and cable cars convey visitors to the 320 km of well prepared slopes and trails which cover every level of ability – from beginner to expert.
A further highlight was the re-opening second for the last winter of the Schatzalp/Strela skiing area. This area is for those with a more laid-back approach to winter sports who appreciate the joys of “slow skiing”.
The region of Klosters Davos has 4 toboggan runs and 25 km of toboggan trails. The ski pass for Kloster Davos includes use of the cable cars, the Rhaetian railway from Küblis to Filisur and the public bus service in Klosters and Davos.
