The Klosters Lido is only a few minutes away from the hotel. The pools with their magnificent mountain backdrop are heated to 23.5°C and include a swimming pool for fitness, a diving pool with a climbing wall, a water slide and a shady children’s pool made of stainless steel with a variety of fountains for the very small. Next to the sun-bathing lawn are play areas for small children and a beach volleyball court for the older ones.

Only a few steps away from the hotel is the Klosters Sport Centre, where spacious tennis facilities consisting of 7 clay courts are available in the summer. Five of the courts are even floodlit in the evening.

Most of the tennis champions of our time have competed for medals on the attractive Centre Court. In summer 2010, the annual European Junior Championships were once again held in Klosters, and tennis whizzes up to the age of 18 will have another opportunity to prove their skills from 23 to 29 July 2012. The ITF Swiss Seniors is also always traditionally held in Klosters in August. The next tournament will take place from 5 to 12 August 2011.

Please note that during these two events the tennis courts cannot be hired by the public.

Right next to the Bahnhof Klosters-Platz, only five minutes’ walk from the hotel, is the Kulturschuppen Klosters. Films, theatre, cabaret, concerts and much more besides are on offer here all the year round. Have a look at the varied cultural programme and select something that appeals to you.

”Hüschi” in the local dialect means little house. The Nutli Hüschi was built in 1565 by Christian Nutli. Today it houses the Local History Museum of Klosters.


The Nutli Hüschi, which was still a private home in the 19th century, documents the traditional life style and architecture of the Walser. In 1996 the facilities were enlarged with a barn. The wooden house contains valuable furniture, tools and toys from the 16th to the 18th centuries. There is also a new special exhibition every year. In this museum with its many unusual exhibits, there is always something new to discover.

Eight reading benches, four in Klosters and four in Davos, are situated along the various paths and hiking trails. Each seat is equipped with a book box with a selection of books for every age group. Fulfil your dream of free flying with an adventure of a very special kind. Take off on a tandem paragliding flight with an experienced pilot from the Grischa flight centre and enjoy a birds-eye view of the picturesque mountain world of Klosters and Davos. With take-off behind you, enjoy the fantastic sensation of hovering in the air like a bird.

Passenger flights take place every day in good weather. No previous experience is required and there is no age limit: anyone can book the air taxi.

Not even water sports will be missing from your holiday in Klosters. Lake Davos with its 3.77 km shoreline reaches a temperature of 20° in the summer and provides sport and leisure facilities for all water lovers. There is also the adjacent lido for refreshing dips and sunbathing.

The water sports centre has all the equipment you require for water sports and in addition to a lido and sunbathing lawn and a restaurant with a sun terrace there are two volleyball courts and paddle-boats for hire. The boats take a maximum of four persons and cost CHF 27.00 per hour.

Water sports fans can look forward to sailing and windsurfing in Davos. In summer the thermal winds ensure that from around 11am there is always sufficient wind for sailing and surfing on the lake. It is also known as the one lake in the Alps where wind is guaranteed. There is a strict regulation about the wearing of life jackets, which are available free of charge from the Sailing School. And sailing and surfing courses are of course also available. The regular sample courses give you the opportunity to see whether either of these two sports is for you.

In summer 2010, the Klosters Davos region added a spectacular high rope park to its attractions. The five courses, each with six to eight stations, offer a very special experience which allow you to stretch yourself to your limits. The most spectacular of the courses is the 12-metre-high pendulum, on which visitors float between earth and sky. And a special children’s course makes sure younger family members can join in the fun too.

Before you ”battle” your way through the high rope park on your own, the trained park staff give you detailed safety instructions. Basic belaying principles then apply, with visitors checking each other as well as themselves.

Please note that children under 12 are only allowed to visit the park accompanied by an adult.

From Klosters the best way of getting to the park is by taking the Rhaetian Railway to Davos village. From here it is a ten-minute walk or you can take the bus to Stilli. Both trips are free with the Klosters guest card.

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880 - 1938) lived from 1917 until his death in Davos. With his comprehensive work he paved the way for German Expressionism. The Kirchner Museum was opened in September 1992 and has the largest collection of his works in the world.

A comprehensive collection of valuable winter sports equipment and documentation from the Jürg Kaufmann family foundation, Davos, and the archives of the Davos Seniors Hockey Club including the Spengler Cup. Exhibits dating from the early days of winter sports to the present (sledges, bobs, skis, ski bindings, skates, curling equipment etc.)
