Skiing & Snowboarding
The world-famous region
Ski region Klosters / Davos with its five skiing areas and 320 km of cross-country trails is unrivalled There are slopes and trails of all levels of difficulty, state-of the art lifts and cable cars, endless pistes, breathtaking freeride slopes and rustic mountain restaurants which will all go to make it a skiing holiday to remember.
Each of the skiing areas has something special to offer:
The ski-runs of
Gotschna/Parsenn join Klosters with Davos and make it the most popular skiing area of the region. The Parsenn mountain with its peak the Weissfluhgipfel at 2844 m offers some of the most spectacular ski-runs in the entire Alpine region and has something for everyone - for beginners attempting their first steep slopes, for skiers who enjoy skimming over the pistes with the wind whistling round their ears, for the advanced skier who delights in negotiating the moguls, and also for off-piste enthusiasts.
The smaller skiing area of
Madrisa which is fondly referred to as the family mountain of Klosters has mainly gentle slopes and lifts suitable for children, making this area a favourite with children and beginners. The Madrisa mountain also gets the most sun – one more reason for being so popular.
The two half-pipes and the fun park at
Jakobshorn in Davos are a magnet for snowboarders keen to perform their daring flips, tricks, turn and spin manoeuvres.
The Jakobshorn is also well-known for many other regular winter sporting events.
The
Rinerhorn situated in the district known as Davos-Glaris is regarded by the locals as an insiders’ tip. When the crowds flock to the other main skiing areas, the slopes of this mountain are half-empty.
Pischa is one of the largest and sunniest freeride areas in Switzerland. The marked trails take you over fantastic deep snow terrain. Kidsland and groomed slopes for families are near the summit station.
