About the Silvretta Parkhotel – History and Team
The Silvretta Parkhotel has a long history that dates back to 1865 when the original Silvretta Hotel was founded in Klosters. Under the leadership of hotel pioneer Josias Mattli, the hotel set new standards with modern amenities such as electric lighting and spring water pipelines. Over the years, the Silvretta Hotel became a landmark in Klosters’ hotel industry. However, by the mid-1980s, it could no longer meet the growing demands and closed its doors in 1985.

A new chapter began in 1988 when Ulrich B. Erpenbeck, as an investor, initiated the construction of the Silvretta Parkhotel. With modern architecture and the latest standards, the hotel was officially opened on December 20, 1990. Guests were welcomed with 90 comfortable rooms, exclusive suites, a wellness area, and first-class dining options. Since then, the Silvretta Parkhotel has developed into a popular retreat for discerning travelers who appreciate both the serene atmosphere and the variety of activities in the region.

Over the years, the hotel has continuously invested in its infrastructure to provide guests with a comfortable and modern stay. This tradition continues today, with the hotel now being run by Christian and Ulrike Erpenbeck in the second generation. Both have taken over the family business with great heart and commitment, continuing the same focus on hospitality and quality that has defined the hotel from the beginning.
